Anna Vasquez, Liz Ramirez, Cassie Rivera and Kristie Mayhugh were accused of doing horrific things to two young girls in the mid 1990s, and eventually convicted. Now attorneys with the Innocence Project of Texas say four San Antonio women, whom advocates have come to call the San Antonio Four, were wrongly convicted and imprisoned. After researching their case, as well as the pediatric examiner whose flawed forensics led to their convictions, I visited the women in prison in October.
